Estimated Costs

Gobi Mission is a non-profit organization and tries to
keep travel and other missions expenses reasonable,
affordable, yet safe and fairly comfortable.

We are able to do this through long association with
three Mongolian provinces, their leaders, and a
network of great people in China and Mongolia.
Mission Work Teams Normally Are Limited to 6 to 8 Foreign
Guests -- Trips Generally Are 7-10 Days in Mongolia
School Groups Can Be Larger -- But Not Too Large Please!
  • Mission Station  Middle Gobi, including Ulaanbaatar, Mandelgovi, Bayan-Unjuul and
Adaatsag, approximately $800 per person (assumes arrival in Ulaanbatar). This
includes in-country transportation, project work, meals, lodging and other missions
related expenses (such as a required invitation letter). It does not include medical
insurance, though none so far have required any.

  • Mission Station  East Gobi, including Ulaanbaatar, Sainshand, Zuunbayan or other
Surrounding Gobi Towns depending upon need, approximately $1000 per person.
The services and conditions above apply.

  • Mission Station South Gobi, including Ulaanbaatar, Dalanzadgad, Bulgan or other
Surrounding Gobi Towns depending upon need, approximately $1200 per person.
        Services and conditions above apply.

These costs include transport, meals, lodging, drivers and translators, and Mongolian
support personnel while on the Mission. It does not include personal insurance (if
desired). Transport may be by plane, train or jeep -- usually all three.

Please do not expect "Four Star" accommodations (or anything "fancy") -- there are no
such things where we go. We are there to serve and to assist.
But we have never lost a
person -- yet!!

If "transiting" Beijing we can assist with low cost
accommodations and airfare or train prices to and
from Ulaanbatar. Special rates apply to student
groups who wish to serve in the East Gobi region --
and don't mind an interesting 18 hour train ride.
