| In some ways life among the Gobi nomads has changed little since the time of Abraham. In other ways it is being absorbed rapidly into ways of the twenty-first century. With change has come large numbers of displaced families, homeless children and seniors, a general deterioration of basic conditions of life -- yet many are determined to carry on and rebuild their very unique society. And we are there to help them do this -- and to assist the young Gobi church. We also learn a great deal in the process. |
